not-me-monday!

Okay.... where do I start?

I did not go to Stubhub in June and buy Cardinals tickets and call the Hyatt in St.Louis to reserve a room for July 17, 2009. That would mean I was some kind of organizational freak (which I am so not!)
On July 17,2009 we so did not get up at 6:30 am and leave at 8:30 am for the not so 5 hour journey to St. Louis just for a silly old ballgame.
We so did not make it there at 1:30 pm and the game so didn't start at 7:15pm. We did not walk one way and so did not find ....... BEER! Then back to the room to unload our purchase and then a walk the other way for ..... FOOD! (By the way Hardeez in St. Louis is also not the most awful food!) Then it was a relaxing rest in a park that so did not have a naked man in the fountain! (Well he was a statue)
After that there was no way we would walk to the arch... nope not us! And it is not pretty or big in the least!
Now for the not best part of the whole trip...... THE BALLGAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We did not get there almost 2 hours early and did not get a free T-shirt nor our picture taken for the Cardinals website! That would be silly. (July 17th game gallery 28 under shop and then pictures!)
Albert Pujols did not hit any homeruns so I got no homeruns on video ;( poor me)
Ooops I guess I did not get his 34th homerun videoed!
The Cardinals did not beat the Diamondbacks 6-1! :) Poor Cardinals
After the game there is no way I would pay for a horse drawn carriage ride for Scott and I so I myself could feel like Cinderella and it was so not wonderful! (Thanks for riding with me Honey and tipping the guy!)
Okay thats enough I am sorry I had a miserable time and drug you guys along on my high!

So not the view out of our room!
There is no naked male statue behind us! Nope I would not do that!
I so did not fall in love with this place at all!
We did not feel like Cinderella and the Prince in this ugly hunk-o-junk!

FarmTown

This blog is all about what I love to do. I am not an addict yet (or maybe I am still in denial). I started playing Farm Town in April so it ain't been too terribly long yet. You start by signing up then planting the little crops, then you hire someone to come harvest them for you. After thats done you go to the market and sell them. The market is also the place to hire helpers and stand for hours waiting for someone to hire you from among the Beggars (and everyone knows there are plenty of those!) The farther up in levels you go the more stuff there is that you can buy for your farm. Oh yeah... gifts everyone loves those! People that you add as neighbors can send you trees, plants and animals for your farm and you can send them to your neighbors! I love this game, but I really want a shiny tractor on mine! If I ever get to level 34 I can buy a mansion! Ain't that every womans dream?

Our First Softball Season

Softball Diamonds

It is true,

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.
Although the diamond
I think

Of it not set in a ring.

It is green and brown
And has a mound.
It also has 4 bases that are
Attached to the ground.
There is a catcher and

A pitcher too.
As well as three basemen and
A short stop to
Follow through.

Three outfielders on the
Green to catch the balls
That find wings.
There is a coach

He points, yells and
even screams to stop the
offender from scoring
it seems.
But most of all, there

Is one last thing, her
Favorite diamond I
Speak of is not
Set in a ring.
You’ll find this

Diamond in any park,
But most of all you’ll find
This diamond in
Her HEART !

New Beginnings

It's only the beginning now
A pathway yet unknown
At times the sounds of other steps
Sometimes we walk alone
The best beginnings of our lives
May sometimes end in sorrow
But even on our darkest days

The sun will shine tomorrow

So we must do our very best
In whatever life may bring
And look beyond the winter chill
To smell the breath of spring
Into each life will always come
A time to start anew
Beginnings for each living soul
As fresh as morning dew

Although the cares of life are great
And heads are bowed so low
The hope of life will leave a light
The splendor of a rainbow
